Running Into Love
Jessie Jones has lived her life always striving to reach the next goal. Graduate college. Go to law school. Get married. Buy a house. Then, a year after catching her husband cheating and three years into her law career, Jessie finds herself lost with no new goal to chase. She leaves to work remotely in her hometown of Chicago to live with her best friend Lilah while she puts her life back together. Out for a run one day, she runs into Eli Robinson, an accountant from Chicago with his own monstrous past to fight. Eli is set on just seeing the sad girl smile.
After agreeing to be just friends, Eli works on welcoming Jessie back to the city they both love with classic outings to a Cubs baseball game at the iconic Wrigley Field; trivia nights in a classic Chicago dive bar; and riding the L. Eli and Jessie work through their own emotions about their past, each other, and their potential future while facing down the racing clock of Jessie’s time in Chicago. When an emergency arises, sending Jessie back to Seattle early, Eli lets his past haunt him and lets Jessie go. Jessie fights for the life she truly wants, who she truly wants, and runs home.
